Senior Project Intro

Last Wednesday, our Senior Project class met up with our families, sponsors, and mentors to give an introduction to the project and inform everyone what is expected of us for the second semester. Although I was nervous about the speech, I guess it turned out alright. The only thing I was worried about explaining was the project within the project, which from what I understand is out of the picture now. Once Snyder brought us outside the library to discuss the small changes that had to be made during the speech, I was scrambling for something to say. I didn't want to just waste perfectly good air talking about nonsence! Snyder and Mr. Abrams ended up congratulating everyone on their speeches and everything was gravy.

The next day, Ms. Sykes and Snyder came into our class and everyone gave opinions on how the posters should be graded and just to make sure everybody was on the same page. I feel a lot better that we had a chance to clear everything up and discuss our likes and dislikes about the project so far. I definately would rather blog 5 times a week and do one big journal for the whole week. Keeping a handwritten journal is important to me because I like to be somewhat creative and since I am serious about this project, maybe i'll actually be organized (FOR ONCE!). I do not see myself doing 5 journals per week along with 5 blogs; that is just crazy talk! The ideas we have so far are pretty good and I am looking foward to the rest of the year in this class!
